GOT GOD?

When God created people, he gave each of us the same special touch:

God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

Can you even begin to think about the care that went into creating you, a mini-woman? Puberty alone boggles the mind with all its details and the way everything works together.

And what about the way each of us is different? No two of us are exactly alike in body. We are each exactly the way God meant for us to be. Besides just being awesome, that tells you three things that you need to know right now:

1. You can have confidence that God gave you precisely the body you’re supposed to have.

2. You’ve really gotta love that body.

3. You’re responsible for taking care of it.

Notice there’s no comparing in that description—no “I wish I were as skinny as she is,” or “I’m glad I have breasts now, not like Little Flat Chest over there.”

Notice there’s no self-hate mentioned there—no “I’m so fat I’m going to starve myself,” or “Who cares if I exercise? I’m just a blob anyway.”

And do you see any shoving the job off on somebody else? There’s no “I can’t help it if the school cafeteria only serves pizza,” or “My family members aren’t athletes. We just like to watch TV.”

Yeah, it’s very clear.

Love that precious body.

Be sure it’s totally you.

Take the best care of it that you can.

God says so.

Without that, the rest of the info in this book won’t help you become the young woman you were meant to be. Believe it, no matter what anybody else may try to tell you.
